Hickory Ridge Mall debuted in 1981. A Cyberstation arcade opened near Sears around 2000, featuring ticket cranes and Marvel vs. Capcom. The arcade closed before storm damage shuttered much of the mall in 2008, but Memphis bloggers still post grainy shots of its neon sign amid the darkened concourse.
