Rock Hill Galleria opened on May 16, 1991. That first summer, Bally installed an Aladdin’s Castle arcade just off the food-court atrium. Locals remember “Token Tuesday” coupons tucked inside The Herald and weekend lines for Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat 3, and prize-ticket cranes. The arcade remained the mall’s teen hub through the early 2000s; by the 2010s the space had been re-leased. A 2017 mall press release welcomed a new tenant “in the old Aladdin’s Castle space,” confirming the unit’s earlier exit.
