Castle City Fun Center (82-530 Highway 111, Indio) opened in March 1997 with go-karts, mini-golf, and a mid-sized video-game arcade anchored by ticket redemption machines, all housed within a replica of a medieval castle. The venue featured a rather upscale restaurant (Castle City Grill) that was well-regarded by locals. The facility's last known mention is December 1999. It's possible that it closed shortly afterward.
